Mr Loh Khee Yew is a life member of the Singapore Art Society, Life member of the Designers’ Association of Singapore, a member of the Institute of Advertising, Singapore.
A Colombo Plan Scholar studied fine/commercial arts, design, advertising, photography, printmaking and handcrafts in Canada.
He has vast experience in the advertising & design industries and some of his portfolio includes Head of Applied Arts, BVI; Head of Creative Services, Asian Ad Group of Advertising Agencies; Director, Design Synergy Pte Ltd; Design Consultant, Tropical Alliance Pte Ltd, and Lo-Design.
Mr Loh has been an experienced teacher with the Ministry of Education. In 1964, had represented The Singapore Teachers’ Congress at the WCOTP meeting for Science Specialists & Experts, Manlia, Phillippines. In 1992, he was invited to take on the role of Dean of Design School, LASALLE SIA.
During his three-year tenure with LASALLE SIA, Mr Loh has helped to build the Design School and put in place a design education system and standard where the diploma courses could be articulated with advanced standing in degree programs by reputable Universities. He has lectured and conducted several art and design courses for public & private tertiary institutions. He is also an established artist, having exhibited his works widely, including four solos, and setting up the Jo Studio at Bishan Park (2003-04). Presently, he continues to nurture the young and conducts courses at art galleries.
